Lindås, Göteborg - Detailed Information

New development of 20 terrace houses without a traditional heating system:

  • Extremely well insulated and very airtight
  • Equipped with a high efficiency ventilation heat recovery system to heat supply air
  • Remaining heat requirement covered by heat from occupants, appliances and lighting
  • Each house also has a 5 m2 solar collector designed to cover 50% of the energy supply for hot water use
  • Cost is estimated to be about the same as traditional construction
  • Ongoing monitoring for research into the effectiveness of the development
